The Lansil Fishery comprises approximately 1.75 miles on both banks of the river Lune between Denny Beck below Halton weir and Howgill Brook below the Lancaster Canal aqueduct.
The river is mostly slow moving, deep and wide and, from a game fishing viewpoint is best suited to spinning and bait fishing techniques. Fly fishing is not a practical option.
